It is understood that our government controlled public schools and higher education system has done everything possible to dumb down America and make sure only a limited number of people have any meaningful understanding of a republican form of government. Toward that objective they have been very successful and today we have the most politically ignorant society in more than two centuries of America. With less than a full year of government being taught in twelve years of public education, not much is absorbed by young student brains.

The Founders strongly believed that any political process should be about identifying the common good in a process where both politicians and voters calmly sorted out what best served the entire community or country. The forming of factions within such a body of individuals was seen as not only disruptive, but detrimental to the establishment of good governance.

If there was ever a time in our country when the Founding Fathers were proven to be right on target, that time is now. There is not a single candidate on any side of the political spectrum who can display an unbiased approach to governing the nation.

The man who served on our first committee to detect and defeat conspiracies was John Jay. He could well have been thinking of something such as Obamacare when he wrote, “No power on earth has the right to take our property without our consent.” The author of our Bill of Rights, James Madison warned, “The truth is…that all men having power ought to be mistrusted.”

Here's some news that federal bureaucrats in Washington -- and indeed around the country -- don't want to hear: According to a Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report released this week, federal workers are paid higher than their private-sector counterparts.

The federal pay system unnecessarily inflates federal pay. My research shows that, on average, federal employees earn hourly wages 22 percent higher than otherwise comparable private-sector workers. Numerous studies by researchers whose personal views span the political spectrum come to similar conclusions.

Federal employees also receive premium benefits. They receive both a defined-benefit and defined-contribution pension plan, can retire with full benefits at 56, and receive significantly more paid leave than their private-sector counterparts. Accounting for the value of these benefits raises the federal compensation premium to between 30 percent and 40 percent above similar private-sector workers. All told, the federal compensation premium will cost taxpayers $47 billion this year.

"While millions of Americans continue to struggle with stagnant wages and high unemployment, government bureaucrats in Washington continue to enjoy significant advantages over those whose tax dollars finance their compensation," read a statement by the office of Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., chairman of the House Budget Committee.

The average benefits package for federal workers, including health insurance and a defined benefit pension plan, costs the government about 48 percent more than for private sector workers in comparable jobs. Defined benefit pensions — in which retirement payments are based on a formula involving wages and length of service — are becoming far less common in the private sector.

The federal government employs about 2.3 million civilian workers, or about 1.7 percent of the U.S. workforce. Total compensation for civilian federal workers costs roughly $200 billion a year. Civilian worker pay has been frozen for the past two years in response to exploding budget deficits.

An administrative law judge in Georgia could decide as early as this week whether voters in the state convinced him Barack Obama’s name should be removed from the 2012 presidential ballot because he is not qualified to hold the office.

The Georgia hearing was before Judge Michael Malihi, and while none of the lawyers who appeared in the proceedings was willing to predict what the decision will be, several did confirm that Malihi had considered simply granting them a default victory, because Obama and his lawyers expressly stated they would not participate in a hearing to provide evidence that he is qualified to be on the ballot.

Whatever the outcome in Georgia, the issue is gaining traction in other states, too, including Alabama, Tennessee, Arizona, New Hampshire, and even Illinois, Obama’s home political base.

“A candidate that is not legally qualified to be on the ballot, such as Barack Obama, steals votes from other candidates who are legally on the ballot,” the site advises.

The newest round of court actions do not try to have a judge determine Obama is not qualified for the Oval Office and remove him from it, they simply challenge his eligibility for the 2012 election.

“This complaint does not request any injunction against any state or federal government official. Instead this complaint asserts that the private entity, Defendant Democratic Party, intends to act negligently or fraudulently in a manner that will cause irreparable harm to the plaintiffs, to the states, and to the citizens of the United States,” said one of the filings.

It continued, “Because Mr. Obama has admitted that his father was not a

U.S.

citizen, and because this fact has been confirmed by the U.S. State Department, any reasonable person with knowledge of these facts would doubt Mr. Obama’s constitutional qualifications. Therefore, any representation by the Democratic Party certifying said qualifications would be negligent, absent further evidence verifying Mr. Obama’s natural-born status.

He said if the cases succeed, the Democrats would not be able to list Obama as their candidate for 2012.

Wisconsin and the world were supposed to find out Monday.

Now, the Government Accountability Board, or GAB, which oversees state elections and campaigns, is reportedly holding off posting the reported 1 million signatures on petitions seeking to recall Gov. Scott Walker due to privacy concerns.

GAB spokesman Reid Magney told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Monday evening the board was holding off on posting the names online after hearing concerns about a stalking victim and others who did not want their names released.

The GAB’s move is unprecedented in unprecedented political times in a divided Badger State.

In the past, the accountability board has treated recall petitions as public records, just as it has the routine nomination petitions that candidates must submit to get on the ballot.

Making both types of petitions available has allowed the general public to verify that enough proper signatures were gathered.

On Monday, the board heard from people who did not want their information disclosed for privacy reasons, which led the board to take more time to consider the issue, Magney said.

Bill Lueders, president of the Wisconsin Freedom of Information Council, said that the petitions should be public and that he expected that they would be made public either by the accountability board or an outside group.

Lueders said signing a recall petition was a public act like signing a nomination signature for a candidate, not a private act such as voting.

"You can't sign a petition to recall an elected public official in secret," Lueders said.

It shows that BHO puts himself above the law and that he has no problem assuming office under false pretenses. It isn't very hard to see why they no longer hold a license to practice law. A total of 103 members of the House have called for Holder’s resignation or firing, expressed “no confidence” in Holder via a formal House Resolution, or both. “If the judge issues a default and rules that Barack Obama will not be on the Georgia ballot, and if the secretary of state upholds that, then Mr. Obama, having told the court to essentially stick it in their ear, he wasn’t going to participate, wasn’t going to recognize their power – he’s going to have a tough time convincing some other court to overturn the ruling, because he waived his right to object to it by not appearing,” he explained.

“That’s a big deal to judges. A judge may or may not agree with another judge’s ruling, but when one party waives their ability to object, judges are very reluctant to get involved, because the party has basically said, ‘We don’t care what you do, we’re not going to abide by it.’ Judges don’t like that. They don’t like to be blown off,” he said.

Kreep said the election outcome also could be decided because of Obama not being on a ballot in even one state. And he said there’s more to come.

“I can tell you from my own personal knowledge that there are challenges going on in other states. Van Irion has one in Arizona and one in Tennessee. We have one in Illinois that is has gone under the radar. We’re going to be filing similar challenges around the country. We’ll be filing one within a week and another right around the end of the month,” he said.

The hearings are being brought by citizens of Georgia under a state law that allows voters to challenge the eligibility of candidates on the state’s ballot. It is the states that run elections in

The schedule for the hearings was set by Judge Michael Malihi of the Georgia state Office of State Administrative Hearings. In Georgia, a state law requires “every candidate for federal” office who is certified by the state executive committees of a political party or who files a notice of candidacy “shall meet the constitutional and statutory qualifications for holding the office being sought.”

One of those uses may include identity theft.

The 29-year-old's arrest in Des Moines, Iowa, on Friday, for attempting to steal the identity of Matt Schultz, Iowa's Republican secretary of state, points to dirty tricks as a potential element of the Democratic agenda for 2012. The big question is how far up it goes.

Stealing an election by toppling a secretary of state is fundamentally anti-democratic. A full investigation by a special prosecutor is in order.

If evidence is found of a conspiracy to defraud democracy, someone should go to jail for this, and we aren't just talking about Edwards.

The primary purpose of unions today is to fund the Democratic Party. The secondary purpose of unions today is to provide manpower for Democratic Party campaigns and causes. The third purpose is the facilitation of Democratic Party political philosophies in the workplace.

People today value their jobs more than ever. We need work. More importantly, Americans want to provide their personal talents as valued by the customer through a company that they are proud to work for. The whole collective bargaining concept fails to recognize exceptional efforts, gifted craftsmanship, and individual worth.

It is time that public employees advanced beyond the monopolistic group-think of 1866. Perhaps a good model to replace the obsolescence of unions would be the American Bar Association. Rather than bullying their employers and customers, I assert that educators should stand up a professional organization that would create an expectation of providing the student’s parents with world class preparation for capitalist success in their students - and dispense with the collective bargaining.

Unionization, in the old sense, is embarrassingly passé. And it is a conflict of interest for public employee unions to fund the politicians who reward them.

This time he's taken a group of military wives whose husbands are all away in Afghanistan and turned them into a choir. They wrote a song based on excerpts from letters written by the couples whilst apart and this is the beautiful result!

She told WND, “I think this is an important movement forward. It’s just the next place that we have to go and I’m just grateful to Created Equal for the video. Some people aren’t going to like it, but it’s the truth and everybody needs to see it – you don’t forget when you see the product of an actual abortion and it changes hearts. The normal complaint is going be about kids seeing it. But in the end, I’d rather have kids see these photos than be in one of these photos.”

“Knowing that people aren’t buying lies anymore is the kind of thing that ‘Created Equal’ brings to light,” Simmons told WND. “Thank God for videos like this because people need to be educated so that things like abortion should never happen. We have sayings of righteousness and justice written in our courtrooms, but where’s the justice for the unborn? The world is following pro-life activism in America. The Gas Price Spike Act, H.R. 3784, would apply a windfall tax on the sale of oil and gas that ranges from 50 percent to 100 percent on all surplus earnings exceeding "a reasonable profit." It would set up a Reasonable Profits Board made up of three presidential nominees that will serve three-year terms. Unlike other bills setting up advisory boards, the Reasonable Profits Board would not be made up of any nominees from Congress.

READER COMMENT: This is great- now we need a "Reasonable Spending Board" to monitor our Congress. We need a "Reasonable Ethics Board" to punish members of Congress who use their office to enrich themselves. A "Reasonable Taxation Board" to prevent the government from taking too much of our money.

We can have a "Reasonable Earnings Board" to take money from actors and musicians who make too much money on their movies and records. A "Reasonable Athlete Salary Board" to make sure athletes don't make too much money. A "Reasonable Executive Compensation Board" to make sure people like Franklin Raines don't make hundreds of millions while bankrupting taxpayer funded companies.

We have truly entered the twilight zone and Orwell must be spinning in his grave. The day the government gets to decide what a "reasonable profit" is for private companies we have allowed our politicians and federal government to become far too powerful.

Going after oil and gas companies is all about politics. They are not the preferred industries so their profits can be attacked. Why not go after Apple's profits or Microsoft? Their profit margins are higher.

The American people cannot allow our government to engage in this type of abject tyranny. It's the most un-American thing I can imagine. What's next- the government forcing all citizens to buy products and services from private companies?

The America of our founders and forefathers is disappearing before our eyes.

It’s going to involve a lot of law students. During one speech, a few anti-Walker protesters infiltrated the crowd and stood in the front with signs and chanting “recall Walker.” They were quickly surrounded by Walker supporters yelling “shame, shame, shame,” with fingers pointed in their face.

there were no arrests, but Walker rally organizers, who rented a portion of the park, did escort a few demonstrators out of the area when they became disruptive. Anti-Walker demonstrators were located some 200 yards from the rally.

When Santorum, the pro-life, anti-gay-marriage former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania, was challenged in New Hampshire by pro-same-sex-marriage teenagers, he attempted to use the Socratic method to explain his opposition . . .

The back and forth conversation is interesting, because the teens could not challenge logic.

Given these "pro-gay" measures, how much of a leap is it for Obama now to assert his support for gay marriage? Instead, Obama said his position on gay marriage is "evolving" -- and he gets away with it. The media seem unbothered by Obama's reversal on the question of same-sex marriage. Santorum, however, is pressed to explain his opposition.

Does Obama, like Santorum, worry about boundaries and limits if he were to support same-sex marriage? Does Obama's religion, like that of Santorum's, still inform his position on gay marriage? If so, how is that any more tolerant than the "hostile-to-gay-rights" Santorum?

Santorum actually praised the citizens of New Hampshire for the way it went about legalizing gay marriage. The people of that state, said Santorum, legalized gay marriage "the right way -- they passed it through the (state) legislature, they didn't have the court impose it like they did in other states."

Santorum, like it or not, is clear -- and consistent. Why does Obama get a pass?

In January 2012, a new plan to usurp local control and impose liberal assumptions about sexuality on our nation's children was unveiled. It is titled "National Sexuality Education Standards: Core Content and Skills, K-12," and it's a creation of the portentously named "Future of Sex Education."
The "Future of Sex Education" (FoSE) project, which is a joint effort of the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS), Advocates for Youth, and Answer, "seeks to create a national dialogue about the future of sex education and to promote the institutionalization of comprehensive sexuality education in public schools."
In addition, one of FoSE's goals at the "national level...[is to] create an enabling environment that includes federal policies, regulations and funding to support and sustain comprehensive sexuality education at the local level."
When activists who seek to normalize homosexuality and obliterate gender talk about promoting "dignity and respect for all," they are not talking about promoting civil interaction among diverse people. They are talking about promoting a particular set of ontological, moral, and political beliefs. They are not promoting respect for persons but rather respect and affirmation of a set of non-factual, unproven, and arguable beliefs.

Respect means to hold something in esteem. No child should be taught that in order to respect persons, they must hold in esteem all beliefs, all family structures, or all behavioral choices. Nor does respect of persons require that we withhold expression of our beliefs. All that respect of persons requires is that we interact civilly with others.

Something questionable is going on when a state chapter of the Service Employees International Union advertises on the SEIU national website a "Lead Internal Organizer/Home Care (LiA)" position paying up to $65,000 a year for somebody with the following qualifications:

(For those not familiar with SEIU nomenclature, "COPE" stands for Committee on Political Education, which the national union describes as the "300,000 SEIU members, staff and retirees who contribute an average of $7 a month." That at least explains the source of some $25.2 million of SEIU's beaucoup campaign money for Democrats.)

what SEIU is looking for is somebody who has no qualms about joining with other union-trained cadres and like-minded people from other organizations to invade government buildings such as state buildings and private banks -- and getting arrested ("peaceful resistance") in the process. We've already seen the kind of thuggery SEIU has in mind. Another tool detractors used was the conciseness of their arguments. Opponents claimed personhood would take away birth control, end in vitro fertilization and criminalize miscarriages. Those claims are easy to make. It took much more time and energy to explain why Planned Parenthood’s statements were false.

Opponents to personhood were not only quicker in getting their message to the masses, they were also louder. Despite the promotional effort of AFA and other pro-life groups, pro-aborts were able to infiltrate even churches with their message.

The exchange occurred primarily between Juan Williams and Newt Gingrich. Williams asked Gingrich "whether his previous remarks about food stamps and allowing children to work janitor jobs to instill a work ethic were 'insulting,' particularly to African Americans." Personally, I find the question insulting... particularly to people of all races! Why should African Americans be more insulted than anyone else regarding the benefits of getting a job at an early age? By doing so, teenagers can learn discipline and responsibility -- following a schedule, listening to a boss, dressing appropriately, and on and on. Teens can also see that their hard work leads to a paycheck. They work... they get paid. Then, they can make purchases.

If someone is just sitting around collecting food stamps and doing nothing else, then THAT is insulting to me. Do something! So much of our tax dollars are wasted. We have become a society that sits around and expects the government to take care of us. Well, the "government" is my wallet! And it's the wallet of every other taxpayer in America. That last thing anyone who actually earns their own money wants to see is that money being wasted.

When I was a kid I collected bottles and newspapers and took them to the local junk shop in exchange for some coins which is all they would give us kids no matter how much we gave them. At the age of 9, I use to clean my Aunt’s apartment while she and my Uncle worked in their candy store, only this time I got a lot more than just a few coins.

Don't let anyone tell you that federal policy should be neutral about marriage, children and the family. There is no such thing as a neutral tax or a neutral deduction or a neutral credit. Every part of our income tax return is a manifestation of some social policy.

The whole concept of a progressive income tax is social policy. We as a nation adopted the social policy that those with more income must pay federal income taxes at higher rates than those with less income.

Traditional marriage was specifically favored in the federal income tax when the great Republican 80th Congress created the joint income tax return over President Harry Truman's veto in 1948. This enabled single-earner married couples to file their income tax return as two people, which they certainly are.

The feminists, however, have largely achieved their goal of driving full-time homemakers into the paid labor force by transferring millions of good middle-class jobs to other countries. High U.S. corporate taxes, the highest in the world, are a major factor making U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.

Marriage has been discriminated against by the vast expansion of the welfare state launched by Lyndon Johnson's War on Poverty in the 1960s. The enormous subsidies handed out from the U.S. Treasury through more than 70 means-tested programs, mostly to unmarried moms with children, now cost U.S. taxpayers more than $800 billion a year, which is more than the defense budget.

Liberals want to continue these handouts because they subsidize non-marriage, illegitimacy, dependency on government and votes for Democrats.

Marriage absence is the biggest cause of poverty and a major cause of unbalanced budgets and our colossal national debt.

In this case, the plaintiffs, who were represented by the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, sought to hold the firearms retailer liable in a wrongful death and negligence claim because a firearm had been stolen from his store.

Colleges across America are using the HANDBOOK OF SOCIAL JUSTICE IN EDUCATION edited by William Ayers and others to prepare young teachers to influence American school children. The cover page states that the text, “takes a first step in a lengthy journey—one that calls for abandoning the safe rhetoric of tolerance and engaging the entangled spaces of race, class, gender, sexuality, disability, and environment through an educational lens.” This approach claims that special groups require special consideration even if those considerations tread on the rights of the persons not included in this long list. Our ideal of equal opportunity and justice for all is being replaced by special consideration for some at the expense of others.
Mr. Rick Ayers explains that a social justice classroom should demonstrate a curriculum that is participatory, “ experiential”, and activist and that social justice education must be “enacted through transformative action in the classroom, the school, and the wider community.” How much clearer must they be? They intend to teach our children to disrespect and destroy our political system and replace it with a system that they define only as more “loving and fair”.

Why would American citizens allow our children to be victimized by people who refuse to identify the governmental system they intend as a replacement for our republic? Why would our legislative bodies, including the state Departments of Education, allow American children to be solicited to participate in the destruction of America’s republic?

It is time American citizens recognize that a civil war is being fought. The battle ground is the classroom, and American children are being shaped into the weapons necessary to destroy our republic.

To be sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers would have lasted a single day. But because Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberaldom to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices, even if they were a bit extreme, he was given a pass.

Let that sink in: Obama was given a pass -- held to a lower standard -- because of the color of his skin.

certainly in the motivating sentiment behind all affirmative action laws and regulations, which are designed primarily to make white people, and especially white liberals, feel good about themselves.

Unfortunately, minorities often suffer so that whites can pat themselves on the back. Liberals routinely admit minorities to schools for which they are not qualified, yet take no responsibility for the inevitable poor performance and high drop-out rates which follow. Liberals don't care if these minority students fail; liberals aren't around to witness the emotional devastation and deflated self esteem resulting from the racist policy that is affirmative action.

Yes, racist. Holding someone to a separate standard merely because of the color of his skin -- that's affirmative action in a nutshell, and if that isn't racism, then nothing is. And that is what America did to Obama.

All his life, every step of the way, Obama was told he was good enough for the next step, in spite of ample evidence to the contrary. What could this breed if not the sort of empty narcissism on display every time Obama speaks?

The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of clichés, and that's when he has his teleprompter in front of him; when the prompter is absent he can barely think or speak at all. Not one original idea has ever issued from his mouth -- it's all warmed-over Marxism of the kind that has failed over and over again for 100 years.

When defined strictly from an economic perspective, socialism is a centrally-planned economy in which the government controls the means of production and distribution and seeks to make people economically and socially equal by taking from those who have more and giving to those who have less. This so-called redistribution of wealth—one of President Obama’s favorite concepts—is done without any consideration of the merits of those who benefit from it or the rights of those hurt by it. However, defining socialism as just an economic system is like defining terminal cancer as just an illness.

Socialism is more than an economic system. It is part of a broader worldview in which the state is god and the power of government is used to take from the more productive members of society and give to the less productive (forced redistribution of wealth). Think of President Obama’s constant attacks on the wealthy and continual demands that they pay more in taxes.

“…the tragic failure of the twentieth century.” Originally envisioned as a remedy for the perceived defects of capitalism, socialism has failed dismally everywhere it has been tried. Writing about socialism’s history of failure, Helibroner says: “…it has far surpassed capitalism in both economic malfunction and moral cruelty.

This is the problem with the American left. Its members continually proclaim the supposed benefits of socialism—a system few of them have ever experienced first-hand—while enjoying the proven benefits of economic freedom and the free-market. This is hypocrisy at its worst. Socialism is a concept that works only in theory. It quickly breaks down when subjected to the reality of human nature.

ABOUT LIBERALS AND CONSERVATIVES

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be very liberal, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch conservative, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs.

The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.

Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.

Her father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?"

She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over."

Her wise father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA."

The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, "That's a crazy idea, how would that be fair! I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!"

The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, "Welcome to the conservative side of the fence."

If you ever wondered what side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test!

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat. If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and Jesus silenced.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh. A liberal will delete it because he's "offended."

Hurley-area officials want the revenue to pay for local projects, including environmental improvements not directly related to the mine.

The debate over the net proceeds tax revenue marked the clearest indication that there is room for maneuvering on the bill, which may come up for a vote in the Assembly as early as next week.

Lawmakers are scheduled to return Tuesday for the upcoming legislative session in Madison.

The problem is that “pro-choice” is so vague as to be meaningless. Everybody’s “pro-choice” on some things and “anti-choice” on others. In a sane world, you’d think that “pro-choice” meant favoring greater personal freedom on a whole range of issues. But whatever else may be said of the Obama Administration’s policies on healthcare, incandescent light bulbs, gun rights, and environmental regulations, they leave people with fewer choices, not more. Obama, like his fellow liberals, is only “pro” one particular choice: abortion.

And even then, the positions of Obama, Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and the National Organization for Women on conscience protection and taxpayer abortion funding force third parties to participate in abortion against their will. If this is “pro-choice,” then why does choice lose out whenever choice and abortion conflict?

“Pro-life,” on the other hand, specifically denotes a concrete principle: the sanctity of all human life, which entitles every human being to equal protection from fertilization onward. If the right to life of those outside the womb were seriously endangered in our society, pro-lifers would be there, just as we are for the unborn. Pro-aborts sometimes try to delegitimize the pro-life label by calling us hypocrites on issues like capital punishment, but that fails for two simple reasons: first, not all pro-lifers support the death penalty, and those who do believe it preserves life in the long run by deterring violent crime.

DEAD PEOPLE -- ARE STILL ELIGIBLE TO VOTE

The bombshell video is the work of conservative filmmaker James O’Keefe and his organization, Project Veritas.

Voters in the Granite State are not required to present identification to vote. O’Keefe’s investigators were able to obtain ballots under the names of dead voters at polling locations Tuesday by simply asking for them, he said.

“Live free or die,” an election worker told one of the investigators in the video. “This is New Hampshire. No ID needed.”

In an interview with TheDC on Wednesday, O’Keefe said the exposé shows how voter fraud can be easier to perpetrate when identification isn’t required.

O’Keefe said he eventually plans to post full, unedited videos of the encounters. “It shows the integrity of the elections process is severely comprised,” the filmmaker said.

He said no laws were broken during the investigation and that his team members never claimed to be the dead people whose ballots they were trying to obtain. Instead, they carefully worded the way they asked for ballots, phrasing it like: “Do you have Earnest Chavanelle?” and “Do you have Paul Soucy?”

“We decided to go in there without using any false pretenses,” he said. “There’s no misrepresentation in these videos if you watch them — we didn’t lie about who we were.”

The investigation worked this way: O’Keefe and his team obtained names of recently deceased New Hampshirites through published obituaries, and used publicly available voter roll information to find dead people still on the voting rolls.

With that information, O’Keefe’s investigators went to the polls on Tuesday and requested ballots in the names of the deceased.

“Some of them died a few months ago, some of them died a few weeks ago,” he said.

In many cases, ballots were handed over by the poll workers without any skepticism. In only one case did a poll worker realize that the investigator wasn’t the person the ballot was meant for — because the woman giving out the ballots knew the dead person in question.

it's over the top when Obama told the European Council president and the European Commission president that "the United States stands ready to do our part" to bail out Europe.
Bailing out Europe is absolutely not any "part" of "our" duty; we've already bailed out Europe more times than it deserves. Obama didn't give specifics, but he was probably referring to recent proposals to pour more U.S. cash into the International Monetary Fund to be used to bail out Europe.

The U.S. is the biggest contributor to the IMF; we pay about 17 percent of its budget. A European default could make U.S. taxpayers liable for 17 percent of the IMFs liabilities.

There is also the danger that our Federal Reserve System will come to the rescue of the Europeans by making major bond purchases of European debt. That expensive decision may be imminent; apparently, there is no law to prevent the Fed from such extravagant folly.

Obama has no business using U.S. taxpayers' dollars, through the IMF, the Fed or any other secretive agency to bail out foreign banks.

The government’s actions in a dispute between the Environmental Protection Agency and a husband and wife targeted by the agency when they bought a residential lot in Idaho and started building their dream home are both “outrageous” and “very strange.”

There were comments today from justices on the U.S. Supreme Court about the Environmental Protection Agency’s actions in a fight with Mike and Chantell Sackett, of Priest Lake, Idaho.

The Sacketts’ attorney, Damien Schiff, of the Pacific Legal Foundation, argued that the EPA must be subject to the rule of law and the agency cannot simply issue orders violating others’ property rights without giving the owner his or her day in court to argue that the agency is wrong.

But some of the arguments that were on his side actually came from the justices. Samuel Alito suggested that the scenario was one that most homeowners would say “can’t happen in the United States.”

Antonin Scalia called it the “high-handedness of the agency” when the EPA demanded the couple turn their land into a protected preserve, installing vegetation that wasn’t there before they started their project.

Ruth Ginzburg noted that the couple had sought a hearing from the EPA over the controversy, “and the EPA said no.”

“Bullying,” Chantell said.

“That’s what the EPA does. They came into our life, took our property, put us in limbo, told us we can’t do anything with it, and then threatened us with fines,” she said. “They use intimidation and we as American people, my husband and I, are fed up. We’re scared.

“They can’t be allowed to do this,” she continued. “It’s wrong. This is why we are suing the government, the EPA.”

The regulations, the brief contends, had been defined so broadly by the EPA that they have pertained to “land that appears to be totally dry.”

Further, the EPA’s “compliance order” demands that the private property owners give the EPA full access not only to the lands but to their private records about what is done to the land.

“The case before the Supreme Court isn’t about what the Sacketts can or can’t do – it’s about what EPA can do to landowners without having to answer to the courts, the law and the Constitution,” the analyst said.

READER COMMENT: No, the EPA has been like this since the begining. As a consulting engineer, I have seen the same sort of thing from PA to Florida. They decide what they want to do and do it regardless of the reality of the situation. You are guilty and have no way to prove yourself innocent.

READER COMMENT: The EPA, Education, Energy and the IRS are agencies gone wild. We need to implement the laws on the books get rid of these agencies they have made them selves gods in their own eye's and in that think they can do anything they want.

READER COMMENT: Problem here is: there is no downside for the EPA aparatchiks involved in this case. The public and the Sacketts pay all of the legal costs - in the Sackett's case - with the help of the Pacific Legal Foundation. None of the EPA operatives, commissars, or Czars will have lost anything, except for a court battle which was a free-ride for them and an only temporary setback. It is no surprise, by the way, that the 9th Circuit Court sided with the EPA - continuing their losing streak of outrageously-bad decisions. After reading the full article, I note that it said "almost all" of the Supreme Court justices sided with the Sacketts, including Ginsberg and Kagan. That leaves "Latina Wisdom" Sotomayor.... how did she vote?? Another four years of the current regime and the Sacketts, and other citizens with legal objections to government bullying, will be SOL.
